Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement University which is popularly known as GITA University is well-known in the field of technical education.
It is situated on the outskirt of Bhubaneshwar and was established in 2004, it is a part of the famous Vidya Bharati Educational Trust which is also the founder of GIET, Gunupur.

It is accredited by NAAC as an “A” grade with 3.30 CGPA which is the highest score in Odisha.
GITA is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. It is approved by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and Scientific and Industrial Research Organization.
